The Workout – 7 mile tempo

News – there will be a long run on Saturday departing the zero at 7:00:00 am.  Full marathoners are scheduled for 20, half marathoners are scheduled for 10.  There will be Gatorade out there every few miles on both courses.  Breakfast at Dario’s (1800 E 6th St) at 9:01:01 am (first shift) and 10:30:01 am (second shift).

More News – don’t forget to RSVP for Malka’s pre-3M pizza fest.  It is this Saturday night!!  You should have RSVP’s already but, if you haven’t, be sure you do it NOW!  malka@stitchindye.com.

If you’re not running 3M on Sunday, come cheer on the ship at the corner of Steck/Shoal Creek.  Park in either Lowe’s or Luby’s parking lot.  All you can eat breakfast at Luby’s at approximately 8:59:59 am after the last fool passes.  Way to coach, Al!

The Workout – 400 meter repeats
Fun/Half Marathon Group = 6
Fast/Full Marathon Group = 10

News – there will be a long run on Saturday departing the zero at 7:00:00 am.  Both the full and half marathoners are scheduled for a 15 miler.  We’ll be combining this 10 miler and this 5 miler.  There will be gatorade out there every few miles.  There will be a group departing at 6:00:00 am to do the 5 miler first.  Breakfast at Hoover’s (2002 Manor Road) at 9:00:01 am and 10:00:01 am.

The inaugural 2012 version of “where are they now” features Carolyn Heath. Where are you Carolyn? Somewhere there is a room warmed up to a tolerable 108 degrees with people contorting themselves this way and that…and I’m sure you’re in it!

The Workout – 5 mile tempo

News – there will be a long run Saturday departing the zero at 7:00:00 am.  Marathoners are scheduled for 20 miles, half marathoners are scheduled for 10.  There will be Gatorade out every 3.5 miles or so on both routes.  There will be additional coolers with water that say “26.2” that you are welcome to use as well.  There will be a group getting a slightly early start at 6:00:00 am.  Breakfast at Little Mexico (2304 S 1st) whenever you get there!

If the size of tonight’s group is any indication…the holidays are over!  It seemed like everyone (well, almost everyone) was back and ready to get 2012 started right.  We had several newcomers and one very special returnee from 14 months in Afghanistan.  Welcome back, Anthony!

The Workout – 10 mile tempo (do this loop twice)

News – there will be a long run on Saturday departing the zero at 7:00:00 am.  On the trail this week for 15 miles according to the schedule (half marathoners are scheduled for 14…close enough).  There are myriad ways to accomplish a run of this distance but we suggest the 10 mile loop plus this 5 mile route (either before @ 6:00:00 am or after).  Breakfast at Cafe Express at 8:53:53 am and 9:45:45 am.

BAM!  Just like…that it’s 2012.  The ship crushed it at Sandy’s mansion on Saturday, setting PRs in FREE breakfast devoured and mimosas consumed.  Way to coach, Al!!

The Workout – 3x(2×1200) – yeah, that’s about 4.5 miles worth of repeats

News – there will be a hill workout on Thursday (10 mile tempo achieved by running this 5 mile loop twice…once in each direction).  Half marathoners or fun group can do one loop.  There will be a long run on Saturday departing the zero at 7:00:00 am.  On the trail this week for 15 miles according to the schedule (half marathoners are scheduled for 14…close enough).  There are myriad ways to accomplish a run of this distance but we suggest the 10 mile loop plus this 5 mile route (either before @ 6:00:00 am or after).  Breakfast at Cafe Express at 8:53:53 am and 9:45:45 am.
