This just in from the ship social chair!  There will be a happy hour immediately following Tuesday’s track workout.  La Mancha off Hancock.  Please email H and let her know if you’ll be there.  Also, remember that Tuesday is the first Tuesday of the month and Dr. Jonathan will be in the house.  Way to coach, Al!

Fun Group = 3
Fast Group = 4
PYNOI Group = 7 (Amber, Gary, J)

News – there will be a long run departing the zero at 7:00:00 am on Saturday for runs of 7 miles or 11 miles (11 milers will do both routes…baked goods optional).  There will be gatorade at the school on Barton Hills.  Breakfast at El Gallo at 8:59:59 am.

The Workout – timed mile, indian file mile, all out 400

News – there will be a hill workout on Thursday (repeats…barring any special requests to the contrary).  There will be a long run departing the zero at 7:00:00 am on Saturday for runs of 7 miles or 11 miles (11 milers will do both routes…baked goods optional).  Breakfast at El Gallo at 8:59:59 am.

Fast Group = 10.08 miles (fun group link plus fast group link)

News – there will be a long run departing the zero at 7:00:00 am on Saturday.  On the trail this week for 4, 7, or 10 miles.  There are signs along the trail indicating a UT rowing event will be occurring on Saturday as well so be mindful of oblivious traffic.  Breakfast at Freddie’s Place at 8:57:56 am.

After a super delicious delay…spring has definitely sprung on the ship.  It’s hot, the bluebonnets are blooming, and it’s hot.  Oh, and in case I failed to mention it, it’s hot!  Way to coach, Al!!

Being that tomorrow is 3/14…it has apparently been dubbed “National Pi Day” (sorry, Coach Al, not the edible variety…but way to coach anyway).  We were treated to five small airplanes writing pi in the sky.  We lost count of the digits after a couple of laps but it was pretty cool.

The Workout – figure 8s (roughly 1 mile each)
Fun Group = 2
Fast Group = 3
PYNOI Group = 4 (J, Kate, Keir, Chelsea, Hannah, Dick, Steve, Todd)

News – there will be a long run departing from THE MANSION at 7:00:00 am on Saturday for 5.37 miles or 9.92 miles.  FREE breakfast at the mansion commencing immediately upon finishing (breakfast tacos, donuts, Shiner).

Congrats to everyone who completed the Distance Challenge this year!  Also, don’t forget that Dr. Jonathan will be at the track workout on Tuesday (3/11/2014).  Oh, and thanks to everyone who allowed Faith to interview and/or photograph them for her class project.

PYNOI Group = 6 (Kate, Steve, Jerrod, Elaine, Amber, Chelsea, Ashley, Chuck, Todd, Stefan, Keir (7))

News – there will be a long run departing the zero at 7:00:00 am Saturday.  Off the trail this week for 7.61 miles or 9.54 miles.  There will be gatorade coolers at the spots where the 7.61 milers turn off from and back onto the 9.54 mile route (Rio Grande/24th and Expo/Windsor).  BMTG will be departing One Texas Center at 5:30 am for a brisk 10 prior to joining the group at 7:00:00 am.  Breakfast at Waterloo Ice House (38th/Medical Parkway) at 8:52:52 am.
