There was some activity on the O. Henry track yesterday that would seem to indicate that a much needed resurfacing is about to happen.  When it starts and how long it takes is a mystery at this point but here are the contingency plans for any Tuesday/Thursday where the track is not accessible:

Tuesday – proceed north on Exposition, turn west (left) on Bridle Path and convene at the triangular median at Bridle Path/Meadowbrook.
Thursday – proceed east (right) on 12th and south (right) on Norwalk and convene at Norwalk/Marlton.

The Workout – timed mile, 4×400, mile relay

News – there will be a hill workout on Thursday (tempo, routes/distances TBA).  There will be a long run on Saturday departing the zero at 7:00:00 am.  Off the trail this week, routes/distances TBA.  Breakfast TBA.

The truck careening down Meriden at around 60 mph (not just oblivious to our presence but intentionally idiotic) reminds me of how important situational awareness is when we’re out and about.  Between the texting and status updating and showboating (and just poor driving skills in general) you have to know what’s going on around you…all the time.  Be safe out there.

The Workout – 800s from Joe’s tree
Fun Group = 4
Fast Group = 6
PYNOI = 12, progressive (Chris)

News – there will be a long run Saturday departing the zero at 7:00:00 am.  On the trail this week for 4, 7, or 10 miles.  Breakfast at Sazon (1816 S Lamar) whenever you get there.
