1/3 of the year gone.  That makes this coming Tuesday first Tuesday which means Dr. Jonathan from Performance Wellness should be at the workout.  The track might even be open.  Way to coach, Al!

The Workout – 800s from Joe’s tree
Fast Group = 6
Fun Group = 4

News – there will be a long run departing the zero at 7:00:00 am on Saturday morning.  On the trail this week for 4, 7, or 10 miles.  TMTG3.0 will be departing the zero at 5:30 am for 8 miles extra before joining the group at 7:00:00 am.  Breakfast at Hoover’s (2002 Manor Rd.) at 8:50:50 am.

The group continues to be outstandingly flexible during the track resurfacing and Coach Al continues to come up with creative (and relatively track like) workouts using the flattest available surface streets.  Way to coach, Al!

Fast Group = 6
Fun Group = 4

News – there will be a hill workout on Thursday (repeats).  There will be a long run departing the zero at 7:00:00 am on Saturday morning.  On the trail this week for 4, 7, or 10 miles.  Breakfast at Hoover’s (2002 Manor Rd.) at 8:50:50 am.

They continue to make progress on the track.  One more coat and some stripes and it should be good to go.  I suspect we will be without it for one more Tuesday and then back in business.  Way to coach, Al!

News – there will be a long run departing the zero at 7:00:00 am on Saturday morning.  Off the trail this week for 6ish, 8ish, or 10.43 miles.  6ish milers come straight back via S Lamar and 8ish milers do not complete the 4 mile loop.  Breakfast at Maria’s Taco Express (2529 S Lamar) at 8:59:59 am.

Way to be flexible, gang!  The track being closed did not activate the full contingency plan.  We were able to do the drills on the little side road and the workout on a (relatively) flat course.  Way to coach (from a distance), Al!

Yes, the track is completely walled off now so Tuesday’s workout will definitely NOT be on the track.  Stay tuned for more info on what we’ll be doing in the interim.  Most likely the regular contingency plan but perhaps not.

News – there will be a long run departing the zero at 7:00:00 am on Saturday morning.  Off the trail this week for 11.4 miles.  Cut across at Windsor for closer to 6.5 miles.  Breakfast at El Mercado (1302 S 1st) at 9:01:01 am replete with cake for April birthdays!

*HEADS UP*  The track at O. Henry is being resurfaced as I type.  The guys on site say it’s about a two week process so be prepared to be flexible over that time frame.  Way to coach, Al!

News – there will be a hill workout on Thursday (5 mile tempo).  There will be a long run departing the zero at 7:00:00 am on Saturday morning.  Off the trail this week for 11.4 miles.  Cut across at Windsor for closer to 6.5 miles.  Breakfast at El Mercado (1302 S 1st) at 9:01:01 am replete with cake for April birthdays!

Dr. Jonathan from Performance Wellness will be at Tuesday’s workout (the first Tuesday of April).

The Workout – 6 x Danny relays

News – there will be a long run departing the zero at 7:00:00 am on Saturday morning.  On the trail this week for 4, 7, or 10 miles.  The parking lot will most likely be closed again for the Mighty Texas Dog Walk.  Plan accordingly.  There will be a group starting at Little Mexico at 6:05 am for 5 miles extra before meeting the group at 7:00:00 am and 1.4 miles after the 10 mile loop to get back to the restaurant (a total of 16.4 miles).  They’ll be running 8 – 8:15 per mile.  That is the only early/extra group I’m aware of.
