Keep Austin Weird Festival and 5k is Saturday.  The parking lot at the zero will most likely be closed.  One Texas has been a good alternate.

Mega thanks to the Austin Runners Club for setting up the Lululemon night at tonight’s track workout.  I think the Lulu folks got their money’s worth and, more importantly, some Fools left with some sweet new gear.  Don’t forget the ARC member’s only event this Sunday, June 28th, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Lulu Barton Creek.  25% off!

The Workout – timed 400, 6 x 400 with a partner, mile relay (aka the easy week)

Many, many updates.

Update #1 – Lululemon is rescheduled for this coming Tuesday (6/23/2015)!  Now, in addition to the outfit raffle, there will be a special ARC member discount hour (-25%) on Sunday, June 28th, from 6 pm to 7 pm at the Barton Creek Square location.  Apparently Lulu doesn’t have “sales” so this is a big deal!

Update #2 – THIS SATURDAY at 9:00 am The Trail Foundation is opening a new bridge and trail extension on the east side that will keep trail users (aka runners) off of Lakeshore Blvd.  The bridge/extension is just east of the hostel on Lakeshore Blvd.  It is almost exactly 2 miles from the zero to the location of the ribbon cutting heading east down the south side of the trail.  Feel free to extend your run or <gasp> drive over after the long run Saturday morning.  There will be paparazzi there so be sure to wear your finest ARC gear as we partake in the ceremonial first run across.

Update #3 – don’t forget the marathon improv that Elaine’s group is doing this Saturday (6/20/2015) at The Hideout Theatre (617 Congress) from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  $5 at the door or click The Hideout Theatre link to buy in advance.  Elaine promises you’ll be impressed…that’s good enough for me!

Tropical Storm Bill put the kabosh on tonight’s workout.  Lulu and Leo will both be rescheduled.

It’s been an eventful week (ARC “meet the new board” Monday Night Run, Dr. Jonathan from Performance Wellness on Tuesday, National Running Day on Wednesday).  Way to coach, Al!

Mega thanks to Dr. Jonathan from Performance Wellness for working hard on fools until pretty near 7:30 pm.  The group was HUGE and it seemed like at least a third were on the table at one point or another.  Way to coach, Al!
