The calendar says this was the last Tuesday of April so that means that the next Tuesday is the first Tuesday of May.  Dr. J from Performance Wellness should be at the workout to release you actively and freely!

The Workout – Fartleks

News – there will be a hill workout on Thursday (tempo runs of 5 miles or 3 miles, 3 milers turn around at the water cooler).  There will be a long run departing the zero at 7:00:00 am on Saturday morning.  On the trail this week for 4, 7, or 10 miles.  Breakfast at La Feria at 9:00:01 am.

I just read here that the Austin Food + Wine Festival was canceled.  I’m not sure if that means the parking lot at Auditorium Shores will actually be open but the chances are better than before.  If not, One Texas may work for you.

The Workout – hilly mile repeats
Fast Group = 4
Fun Group = 3
Tapering/Recovering/Injured Reserve = 2

News – there will be a long run departing the zero at 7:00:00 am on Saturday morning.  Off the trail this week for 11 miles, 8 miles (out and back to Windsor), or 6 miles (out and back to O. Henry).  Breakfast at Cheko’s (1304 W Koenig) at 8:59:59 am.

Congrats to everyone who ran Boston or somewhere else this weekend!  I saw a lot of great times in what I know were not stellar conditions.  Way to coach, Al!

I’ve made some updates to the 2016 Marathon Calendar.  Check it out and send me more if you got them!

The Auditorium Shores parking lot will most likely be off limits due to Reggae Fest.  You might want to try One Texas as an alternate.  Give yourself extra time too.  Don’t worry though, if you’re a minute late the group will still be a  minute down the trail.  Way to coach, Al!

I’d plan on the Auditorium Shores parking lot being closed for at least the next several Saturdays.  By my count we have the Cap 10k, Reggae Fest, and the Food + Wine Festival on the next three consecutive weekends.  One Texas has been a good alternate for parking but we will continue to start from the zero.

Wow, just like that…2016 is 25% over.  Way to coach, Al!

The Workout – tempo runs of 3.03 miles or 5.07 miles

News – there will be a long run departing the zero at 7:00:00 am on Saturday morning.  On the trail this week for 4, 7, or 10 miles.  The parking lot at Auditorium Shores appears to be closed once again.  I would speculate that it’s due to Reggae Fest but that’s still two weeks away.  For what it’s worth it was fenced off yesterday evening but folks were still being allowed to park.  I would still allow extra time in case you need to use One Texas or some other alternate spot.  Breakfast at Borrego del Oro (3900 S Congress) at 8:52:52 am.
