The workout wasn’t canceled!

The Workout – 4 mile tempo

News – there will be a long run departing the zero at 7:00:00 am on Saturday morning.  On/off the trail this week for 13.19 miles (starting with this 6.17 miler and finishing with this 7.02 miler).  There will be Gatorade on Ben White between Congress and S 1st and at Barton Hills/Wilke.  Breakfast at El Borrego de Oro (3900 S Congress) at 9:30:30 am.

Per the aforementioned missive on said topic, tonight’s workout was canceled due to ice.  Again.

The Workout – (would have been) – 3 x 1600

News – there will be a hill workout on Thursday (4 mile tempo).  There will be a long run departing the zero at 7:00:00 am on Saturday morning.  On/off the trail this week for 13.19 miles (starting with this 6.17 miler and finishing with this 7.02 miler).  There will be Gatorade on Ben White between Congress and S 1st and at Barton Hills/Wilke.  Breakfast at El Borrego de Oro (3900 S Congress) at 9:30:30 am.

*SAVE THE DATE* It is our annual tradition to gather at Big’s house (now Big and Jerie’s house) on the Friday before the Austin Marathon to carb load, socialize, share a drink or two, and begin final preparations for Sunday. This year that is Friday, February 16th. Stay tuned for more info and an invite to follow.

The Workout – 5 mile tempo

News – there will be a long run departing the zero at 7:00:00 am Saturday morning.  Off the trail this week for 10.53 miles or 21.70 miles.  There will be water/Gatorade at the following spots:

Water @ the rock
Gatorade @ Enfield/Woodlawn
Water @ 45th/Guadalupe
Gatorade @ Dean Keeton/San Jacinto
Water @ Goodwin/Tillery
Gatorade @ Waller/Cesar Chavez

Breakfast at Little Mexico (2304 S 1st) at 10:55:55 am.

Kudos to Heather for ringing in the new year with our first monthly happy hour of 2018!  Way to coach, Al!!

Please make note of the very important correction to Tuesday’s workout report.

The Workout – tempo runs of 10 miles for the marathoners – (linked route twice) or 4 miles (half marathoners – turn back at the cooler on Mountain Laurel).

News – there will be a long run departing the zero at 7:00:00 am Saturday morning.  On/off the trail this week for 15.35 miles or 13.19 miles.  Everyone will start with this 6.17 miler.  15.35 milers will finish with this 9.18 miler, 13.19 milers will finish with this 7.02 miler.  Breakfast at 9:45:45 am at El Mercado (1302 S 1st).  There will be gatorade halfway through the 6.17 miler and on the lollipop at Barton Hills/Wilke.

The first workout of 2018 was cancelled due to *edit* ice.  Way to coach, Al!

The Workout (would have been) – 3 x (2 x 1200)

The Workout (would have *alternately* been) – 3 x 1600 at marathon goal pace
