Tuesday night’s workout was punctuated by wind, rain, a respectable crowd of 30ish, and stellar coaching.

Dr. J from Performance Wellness is scheduled to appear at Tuesday’s workout, the first Tuesday of April.  Already.

The Workout – long hill/short hill
Fun Group = 4
Fast Group = 6
Fools Group = 10

News – there will be a long run departing the zero at 7:00:00 am Saturday morning.  The parking lot will NOT be available due to the Urban Music FestivalTxDOT is a good alternative.  Off the trail this week for 10.17 miles.  If you want to do less you can go 6 miles by turning back at 24th/Harris or 4 miles by turning back at Rio Grande/24th.  There will be water/gatorade every few miles.  Breakfast at El Borrego de Oro (3900 S Congress) at 9:04:03 am.

Not this Tuesday but NEXT Tuesday is the first Tuesday of April.  Dr. J from Performance Wellness is scheduled to appear at the workout (4/3/2018).  Not this Tuesday or that Tuesday but the one after that (4/10/2018) will be our monthly happy hour at La Mancha.

The Workout – Fartleks then twice around (backwards on the straights, jog the curves)

Assuming SXSW clears out quickly we s-h-o-u-l-d have use of our parking lot this coming Saturday (3/24).  The following weekend (3/31) it will most likely be reoccupied by the Urban Music Festival.

The Workout – ladder+
Fun Group = 400, 800, 1600, 6 x 100m strides, 2 x backwards on the straights/forward on the curves
Fast Group = 400, 800, 1200, 1600, 6 x 100m strides, 2 x backwards on the straights/forward on the curves

The Workout – 800s from Joe’s Tree Stump

News – there will be a long run departing the zero at 7:00:00 am Saturday morning.  Off the trail this week for 10.96 miles (linked route plus 1 of these), 10.43 miles, or 6 miles (start on linked route but return to the zero via S Lamar), or 4 miles (start on linked route and turn back at the first cooler).  There will be liquids as follows:

Water @ Travis Heights/Mariposa
Gatorade @ Oltorf/S Lamar
Water @ Barton Hills/Wilke
Water @ the rock

Breakfast at Maria’s Taco Xpress (2529 S Lamar) at 9:00:01 am.  The parking lot at Auditorium Shores will be unavailable Saturday morning due to SXSW.  Please use TxDOT as an alternate and allow yourself extra time.  Don’t worry though…if you’re a minute late, we’ll be a minute down the trail.

Reminders!

1 – Dr. J from Performance Wellness will not be at this evening’s workout!  He will, however, be at next Tuesday’s workout.

2 – CUPS!  Take a cup, use it during the workout, and throw it away when the workout is over.

3 – Keys!  Be cautious when leaving your keys on or around the coolers.  We had an incident where someone used the push button to unlock one of our cars and cleaned it out of a wallet and a cell phone.  This all occurred while we were on the track just feet away.
