THERE IS A LOT OF INFORMATION HERE SO PLEASE READ ALL THE WAY TO THE END.
Another perfect evening for a run, seriously. It seems like we don’t get days like this very often…and the group was out in force to take advantage of it. Not to let anyone down, Coach Al rewarded us with a heavy dosage of Yasso 800s. Folks did anywhere from a couple to as many as 10. Way to coach, Al!
News – SAMTG will be departing the rock at 4ish today for a Scenic loop.
THURSDAY’S workout will not be at the regular time/place. We will be meeting at Captain and Michelle’s for hill repeats immediately followed by a little get together at their home. It was originally planned to unveil their newly remodeled kitchen…but I think we should hijack it to celebrate Michelle, Hillary, and Sandy’s recent BQs at Frankenthon!!
There will be a long run Saturday departing the zero at 7 AM. We’ll be on the trail this week. Austin Marathon group is scheduled for 17 miles (10 mile loop plus 7 mile loop). SAMTG will be doing 20 (double 10 mile loop). Breakfast at La Feria at 10:40 AM…or earlier if you’re running less and get hungry.
Daylight Savings Time – On Sunday, November 1, @ 2 AM it’s time to set the clocks back an hour. It’s going to be dark during Tuesday/Thursday workouts for several months. Please acquire a blinking light that can be attached to your person!
Congrats, again, to all the Frankenthoners (and to Frank and Shelley for pulling off an awesome inaugural event)! Congrats to the Marine Corps Marathoners (LA, Raul, and Richard)! Good luck to the New York Marthoners this weekend (Frank, Scott, Vance and ?)!
Run every chance you get!
