Tuesday marks the kickoff for the 2024 Austin Marathon Ship Shape training program!
Tuesday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:00 pm…we’ll have water available. Then do a timed mile (ok, not just a timed mile but THE timed mile), an Indian file mile, and finish with a 2 x 3-person relay. Cool down with an easy mile.
Thursday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:00 pm…we’ll have water available. Then do hilly 1 mile repeats (fast group = 3, fun group = 2). Cool down with an easy mile.
Saturday – there will be a long run departing from the zero (676 W Riverside) at 7:00:00 am Saturday morning. Mostly off the trail this week for 10.54 miles, 7.68 miles, or 5.31 miles. Breakfast at Lazarus (4803 Airport) at 8:59:59 am (gotta beat that 9 o’clock rush).
