Week of 10/15/2023

October’s happy hour at Lazarus is this Tuesday (10/17) following the track workout. Let Julie know if you plan to be there!

Coach Al needs pace group leaders for Saturday’s long run. Let him know if you can help!

Tuesday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:00 pm…we’ll have water available. Then do (marathoners) 6 x 400 w/a partner plus 4 x 400 solo OR (half marathoners) 6 x 400 w/a partner. Cool down with an easy mile.

Thursday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:00 pm…we’ll have water available. Then do (marathoners/half marathoners) a timed 5k training run (map to follow) to fine tune the final 16 weeks of training for the Austin Marathon/Half Marathon. Cool down with an easy mile.

Saturday – there will be a long run departing from the zero (676 W Riverside) at 7:00:00 am Saturday morning. Mostly off the trail this week for 14.55 miles, 9.15 miles, or 5.67 miles. Breakfast at Little Mexico (2304 S 1st) when you arrive.
