Week of 1/21/2024

Mega, mega thanks to Julie for starting 2024 right with our first happy hour of the year!

Within the next week or so you will be receiving an invitation to the Ship Annual Marathon Party at Chez Jerie the Friday before the Austin Marathon. In order to receive an invitation you MUST be on the Ship’s email distribution list (runners@countyline.com). If you’re not on the list you can get on it by sending an email to Coach Al and requesting to be put on the runner’s email list.

Coach Al needs pace group leaders for Saturday’s long run. Let him know if you can help!

Tuesday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:00 pm…we’ll have water available. Then do 1000m repeats (marathoners = 6, half marathoners = 5). Cool down with an easy mile.

Thursday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:00 pm…we’ll have water available. Then do 4 x hilly 1200m repeats. Cool down with an easy mile.

Saturday – there will be a long run departing from the zero (676 W Riverside) at 7:00:00 am Saturday morning. Mostly off the trail for (marathoners) 22.28 miles, or (half marathoners) 10.37 miles, or (shorter route) 6.14 miles. Breakfast at Taco Joint (134 E Riverside) just as soon as you’re done.
