Within the next week or so you will be receiving an invitation to the Annual Ship Marathon Party at Chez Jerie the Friday before the Austin Marathon (February 16th). In order to receive an invitation you MUST be on the Ship’s email distribution list (runners@countyline.com). If you’re not on the list you can get on it by sending an email to Coach Al and requesting to be put on the runner’s email list.
Coach Al needs pace group leaders for Saturday’s long run. Let him know if you can help!
Tuesday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:00 pm…we’ll have water available. Then do Yasso 800s (marathoners = 10, half marathoners = 8, fun group = 6). Cool down with an easy mile.
Thursday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:00 pm…we’ll have water available. Then do (marathoners and half marathoners) a 5 mile tempo. Here is a 3 mile option too. Cool down with an easy mile.
Saturday – there will be a long run departing from the zero (676 W Riverside) at 7:00:00 am Saturday morning. Mostly off the trail for (marathoners) 14.20 miles, or (half marathoners) 10.01 miles, or (shorter route) 6.70 miles. Breakfast at Rudy’s (3914 N Lamar) at 9:39:39 am.
