Thursday’s workout will NOT be at O. Henry! It will instead be at Chez Jerie. Even though it hasn’t officially broken 100 yet…Jerie is ready to party! See below (Thursday) for more info.
SAVE THE DATE(S)!! Date 1 = Tuesday, 8/6/2024, is the timed mile kick off for our 2025 Austin Marathon Training (Ship Shape). Date 2 = Tuesday, 8/6/2024, also our next mini clinic with Dr. C from FRWD Sports Therapy (<— and check out that snazzy new web site).
Tuesday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:00 pm…we’ll have water available. Then do a “practice” timed mile, followed by an Indian file mile, followed by a 2 x 3-person relay. Cool down with an easy mile.
Thursday – meet at Chez Jerie for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:30 pm (yes, 6:30, to allow a little extra time for the change of venue). Then do a quality Ladera Norte workout. Cool down with an easy mile…then return to Chez Jerie for burgers, veggie burgers, cold beverages (beer, water, gatorade), and swimming. What can you bring? Nothing (unless you need something besides burgers, veggie burgers, and cold beverages)! Ok, maybe bring a towel and a change of clothes. Please let us know by Wednesday if you plan to be there!
Saturday – there will be a long run departing from the zero (676 W Riverside) at 7:00:00 am Saturday morning. Half on, half off the trail this week for 10.00 miles, 7.03 miles, or 4.61 miles. Breakfast at El Borrege de Oro (3900 S Congress) at 9:10:11 am.
