Week of 8/4/2024

Dr. C from FRWD Sports Therapy will set up after Tuesday’s track workout for quick evaluations of your post kick off mile aches and pains. Hit her up!

Tuesday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:00 pm…we’ll have water available. Then do a timed mile (kick off for the 2025 Austin Marathon/Half Marathon training), followed by (fast group) 1200, 800, 400 or (fun group) 800, 400. Cool down with an easy mile.

Thursday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:00 pm…we’ll have water available. Then do hilly 1 mile repeats (fast group = 3, fun group = 2). Cool down with an easy mile.

Saturday – there will be a long run departing from the zero (676 W Riverside) at 7:00:00 am Saturday morning. Half on, half off the trail this week for 12.01 miles, 10.28 miles, 7.11 miles, or 5 miles (start with the 7.11 milers but turn around at the coolers at Barton Hills/Wilke). Breakfast at Little Mexico (2304 S 1st) at 9:30:39 am or, perhaps, at the precise moment of your arrival.
