Week of 10/6/2024

Coach Al (ok, I need them this week) needs pace group leaders for Saturday’s long run. Let me know if you can help out. Please, please, please signal your intentions as early as humanly possible. Much appreciated!!

Tuesday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:00 pm…we’ll have water available. Then do (marathoners) a timed mile, an Indian file mile, and 2 x 1 mile or (half marathoners) a timed mile, an Indian file mile, and 1 mile or (fun group) a timed mile and an Indian file mile. Cool down with an easy mile.

Thursday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:00 pm…we’ll have water available. Then do a tempo run of (half marathoners) 3 miles or (marathoners) 5 miles. The turn-by-turn instructions are in the notes of each linked map. Cool down with an easy mile.

Saturday – there will be a long run departing from the zero (676 W Riverside) at 7:00:00 am Saturday morning. Mostly off the trail this week for (marathoners) 10.53 miles (start with the 7.11 mile lollipop then add on the linked 3.42 miler), or (half marathoners) 7.11 miles (just the lollipop), or (shorter route) 5 miles (start on the lollipop but u-turn at the cooler at Barton Hillls/Wilke). Breakfast at El Borrego de Oro (3900 S Congress) at the precise moment of your arrival.
