This Saturday, December 21st, after the long run the Ship will have non-religious White Elephant gift exchange. Totally voluntary. Simply show up at Little Mexico after the long run with a gift in the $10 range and let the games begin!
But wait, there’s more! HAPPY HOUR Tuesday after the track workout. Jeff D is swinging for the fence with a visit to Draught House Pub and Brewery (4112 Medical Parkway). Go Jeff D!! Let him know if you’re planning to attend.
Tuesday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:00 pm…we’ll have water available. Then do Fartleks on the track (26 minutes of continuous running with 17 fast minutes and 9 less fast minutes). Cool down with an easy mile.
Thursday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:00 pm…we’ll have water available. Then do a tempo run of 3 miles (half marathoners) or 5 miles (marathoners) while enjoying the Christmas lights at Mozart’s. Cool down with an easy mile.
Saturday – there will be a long run departing from the zero (676 W Riverside) at 7:00:00 am Saturday morning. Mostly off the trail this week for 14.23 miles (marathoners), 10.41 miles (half marathoners), or 6.14 miles (shorter route). EVERYONE starts with the 6.14 miler then marathoners add this 8.09 miler while half marathoners add the 4 mile loop on the trail. Breakfast at Little Mexico (2304 S 1st) at 9:30:00 am where December birthdays will be celebrates (aka CAKE) and the aforementioned voluntary non-religious white elephant gift exchange will occur.
