Week of 12/29/2024

Coach Al needs pace group leaders for Saturday’s long run. Let him know if you can help out. The earlier in the week you let him know the better!

Tuesday is New Years Eve, the track workout will be business as usual.

Tuesday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:00 pm…we’ll have water available. Then do mile repeats (marathoners = 4, half marathoners = 3). Cool down with an easy mile.

Thursday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:00 pm…we’ll have water available. Then do a tempo run of 3 miles (half marathoners) or 5 miles (marathoners). Cool down with an easy mile.

Saturday – there will be a long run departing from the zero (676 W Riverside) at 7:00:00 am Saturday morning. About half on and half off the trail this week for (marathoners/half marathoners) 10.28 miles (requires 2 x Wilke to achieve the posted mileage), (shorter route) 7.11 miles, or (shortest route…turn back at the coolers at Barton Hills/Wilke) 5 miles. Breakfast at Cheko’s (1304 W Koenig) at 9:10:11 am.
