SAVE THE DATE (and start second guessing your priorities…)! It is customary aboard the SHIP to gather at Chez Jerie the Friday before the Austin Marathon for the annual SHIP Marathon Party. This year that Friday happens to be February 14th which may ring a bell with the more romantic among you as Valentine’s Day. Be on the lookout for an email giving you the opportunity to nominate both your Shipmate of the Year AND The Piss/Moan shirt winner!
Tuesday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:00 pm…we’ll have water available. Then do 1000m repeats (marathoners = 6, half marathoners = 5). Cool down with an easy mile.
Thursday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:00 pm…we’ll have water available. Then do 4 x 1200m hilly repeats. Cool down with an easy mile.
Saturday – there will be a long run departing from the zero (676 W Riverside) at 7:00:00 am Saturday morning. Mostly off the trail for (marathoners) 22.28 miles, (half marathoners) 10.37 miles, or (shorter route) 6.14 miles. Breakfast at Taco Joint (134 E Riverside) when you get there.
