Tuesday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:00 pm…we’ll have water available. Then do Fartleks for 26 minutes continuously (fast on the straights, slow on the curves). Cool down with an easy mile.
Thursday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:00 pm…we’ll have water available. Then do a tempo run of 5 miles or 3 miles while briefly enjoying the lights at Mozart’s! Cool down with an easy mile.
Saturday – there will be a long run departing from the zero (676 W Riverside) at 7:00:00 am Saturday morning. Half on and half off the trail this week for (marathoners/half-marathoners) 10.63 miles (start with the 7.11 mile shorter route and then add the linked 3.52 miler), (shorter route) 7.11 miles, or (shortest route) 5.00 miles by turning back at the cooler at Barton Hills/Wilke. Marathoners actually have 14 miles on their schedule this weekend which can be accomplished by doing the 4 mile early route at 6 am and then tacking on the 10.63 miler. Easy. Breakfast at Little Mexico (2304 S 1st) at 9:30:00 replete with December birthday celebration AND a non-religious white elephant gift exchange.
