Speed – warm up drills followed by 6 x 80m strides then 4 – 6 x 800 with each 800 consisting of a 400 at 1 mile pace then doing the second 400 at 5k pace then do a 5 minute recovery jog (Strava label SPEED).
Tempo (but not really) – warm up drills followed by 6 x 80m strides then find a short steep hill of approximately 200m running up it at 10k pace then quickly back down and then back up at 10k pace repeating for 30 – 45 minutes then cool down with 5 minutes of easy jogging (Strava label TEMPO)
Long Run – warm up drills followed by 6 x 80m strides then run (fast group) 10 miles at marathon goal pace or (fun group) run 5 miles at half-marathon goal pace then (both) cool down with 5 minutes of easy jogging (Strava label LONG)
