Week of 2/9/2025

Coach Al needs pace group leaders for Saturday’s long run. Let him know if you can help out. The earlier in the week you let him know the better!

The annual marathon party is FRIDAY. You should have received an evite and RSVP’d by now if you’d like to attend. If you haven’t already…please RSVP by Tuesday (tomorrow) evening so we can properly provision for the festivities.

You should have also received an email with a link to nominate your Shipmate of the Year. Nominate someone you think has gone above and beyond for the Ship in 2024 (or longer). Past winners can’t repeat so please don’t nominate Al, Big, Sandy, Vance, Jerie, Michelle, Chelsea, Penny, Kate G., Luke, Jim G., Julie, or Tim. Ballot.

Tuesday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:00 pm…we’ll have water available. Then do 400m repeats w/a partner (marathoners/half marathoners = 6…everyone else those 6 plus 2 solo). Cool down with an easy mile.

Thursday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:00 pm…we’ll have water available. Then do a tempo run of (marathoners/half marathoners) 3 miles everyone else 5 miles. Cool down with an easy mile.

Saturday – there will be a long run departing from the zero (676 W Riverside) at 7:00:00 am Saturday morning. Out/back Saturday almost entirely on the Shoal Creek trail for as much as 10.58 miles but feel free to turn around at any point when you’ve run half as far as you want to go. Breakfast at Lazarus Brewing (4308 Airport) 9:10:11 am.
