This report and Thursday’s report were written Friday in order to archive the workouts and get the Saturday maps to the folks who are not on the email list (due to my being out of town all week).
The Workout – Fartleks (slow = 1 minute, fast = 1 minute increasing 30 seconds per segment up to 3 minutes)
News – Stampede on Wednesday, hills on Thursday, and a long run on Saturday departing the zero at 7:00:00 am. 11 miles via reverse Scenic (can be shortened to 8 by turning around at Windsor, 6 by turning around at 10th). Breakfast at Waterloo (38th St) at 9:10:10 am.
More News – if for some reason you’re not running on Saturday morning, meet Coach Al at the Rock for an Austin Runners Club recruitment drive from 6:30 am to 9:00 am – we’ll be recruiting for the marathon/half-marathon training programs that we’ll begin in about 3 weeks – also we’ll be recruiting beginners for jack & Diane’s (I think there’s a song about them) Tues/Thurs Beginners Group.
