And just like that it’s February! Just because we won’t be having the marathon party this year doesn’t mean we won’t be having a Shipmate of the Year. Get your nominations in pronto so we can tally them up prior to the post really long run celebration on Saturday, February 13th. We will be accepting nominations until Wednesday, February 10th.
It wouldn’t be Shipmate of the Year without prizes. We recognize this year has been really tough on a lot of folks but if you want to contribute and you can contribute here is how:

Tuesday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside and warm up on your own with an easy mile before the workout (which begins at 6:10 pm)…make sure you bring your own fluids and wear bright/lighted/reflective gear. Then run 3 x 1600m. Cool down with an easy mile. (Strava label = SPEED)
Thursday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside and warm up on your own with an easy mile before the workout (which begins at 6:10 pm)…make sure you bring your own fluids and wear bright/lighted/reflective gear. Then run a 4 mile tempo. Cool down with an easy mile. (Strava label = TEMPO)
Saturday – there will be a long run departing from the ZERO MILE MARKER (676 W Riverside) at various times in small groups by pace (see Friday’s email for details). Taper time! Half-marathoners = 6.08 miles. Marathoners = 10.01 miles. (Strava label = LONG)
