Week of 3/21/2021

NEW BUFFS are here and ready for purchase. We only have 50, they’re first come/first served, and you don’t want to miss the model for version 2.0!

This is the EASY week so it’s the perfect time for you to try your hand (or feet) at being a pace group leader! Please let Coach Al know if you can help out on Saturday morning.

Participating in the April Fools Challenge and looking for an off the beaten path 10k option? Give the second race of the Rogue Trail Series a look! It’s this coming Sunday at Flat Creek Crossing. You can find all the details here. There is also a code for a 10% discount…hit me up if you’d like it.

Tuesday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside and warm up on your own with an easy mile before the workout (which begins at 6:00 pm…YES 6:00 PM)…make sure you bring your own fluids and wear bright/lighted/reflective gear. Then run a 5k which you may choose to count as race #2 of the ATX Runners Spring Sprint Series. Cool down with an easy mile. (Strava label = SPEED)

Thursday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside and warm up on your own with an easy mile before the workout (which begins at 6:00 pm…YES 6:00 PM)…make sure you bring your own fluids and wear bright/lighted/reflective gear. Then run some 1000m repeats (fast group = 5, fun group = 3). Cool down with an easy mile. (Strava label = TEMPO)

Saturday – there will be a long run departing from the ZERO MILE MARKER (676 W Riverside) at various times in small groups by pace (see Friday’s email for details). Off the trail this week for 13.18 miles, 8.00 miles, or a shorter distance by starting out on any of the linked routes and turning around when you’ve run half as far as you want to go. You can use the longest option for the April Fools Challenge! (Strava label = LONG)

Run every chance you get!
