Mega, mega thanks to Julie for yet another stellar happy hour last Tuesday at La Mancha! One could make a case for them to be a weekly thing but that’s probably just the El Chapo talking.
SAVE THE DATE! Tuesday, August 23rd, is the timed mile kick off for the 2023 Austin Marathon/Half Marathon training!
Tuesday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:00 pm…we’ll have water available. Then run 400m repeats (Fun Group = 6 w/a partner, Fast Group = 6 w/a partner + 2 solo). Cool down with an easy mile.
Thursday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:00 pm…we’ll have water available. Then do a tempo run of 3 miles or 4 miles. Cool down with an easy mile.
Saturday – there will be a long run departing from the zero mile marker at 7:00:00 am. Off the trail this week for 9.75 miles, 7.11 miles, or 5.02 miles. Breakfast at Austin Diner (5222 Burnet) at 9:10:11 am.
