KEEP SAVING THE DATE FOR ONE MORE WEEK! Tuesday, August 23rd, is the timed mile kick off for the 2023 Austin Marathon/Half Marathon training!
Tuesday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:00 pm…we’ll have water available. Then, as “practice” for next week, run 1600m repeats (Fast Group = 3, Fun Group = 2). Cool down with an easy mile.
Thursday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside for an easy 1 mile warm up before the drills which begin at 6:00 pm…we’ll have water available. Then do a tempo run of 3 miles or 4 miles. Cool down with an easy mile.
Saturday – there will be a long run departing from the zero mile marker at 7:00:00 am. Off the trail (but on a different trail) for 12.00 miles, 10.10 miles, 7.10 miles, or 3.4 miles (turn around at the first cooler). Breakfast at Taco Joint (134 E. Riverside) at 9:10:11 am.
