The workout started on a somber tone as we paused for a moment to reflect on Scott Birk’s passing. Scott will be remembered as one of the truly great guys by all who knew him. He touched a lot of lives in a very positive way. He left way too soon.
Coach Al whipped out a tough workout…but not so tough that we forgot about his birthday tomorrow! We finished the workout by refueling with a Krispy Kreme Doughnut Cake (great idea, Dyana) and chocolate milk. Happy birthday, Al!

News – TMTG will be running Scenic Wednesday departing the rock at 4ish. There will be a Stampede on Wednesday (Town Lake) departing at 7:00 pm. There will be a hill workout on Thursday (repeats). There will be a long run on Saturday departing the zero at 7:00:00 am, off the trail this week for 11.4 miles. If you want to do 8.43 extra you can leave the zero at 5:35:00 am. Breakfast at Dario’s (1800 E 6th St) when you get there!
More News – Shakedown will be crushing Baby A’s Stonelake location this Saturday from 7 pm to 10 pm. It’s going to be 100 degrees but a purple margarita will have you believing it’s only 70 degrees!
