Over 100 people showed up at tonight’s workout to kick off Austin Marathon/Half Marathon training! Way to go Austin Runners Club, Coach Al, Vance, and everyone else working behind the scenes! With a group that large AND the 104 degree temperature it shouldn’t surprise anyone to learn that we set new PRs in water and gatorade consumption (at 9 and 8 gallons, respectively). That’s almost 22 oz per person!
The Workout – timed mile (followed loosely by 2 x 800)
News – there will be a hill workout on Thursday (tempo). There will be a long run departing the zero at 7:00:00 am on Saturday. On the trail this week for 4, 7, or 10 miles. Breakfast at La Feria (2010 S Lamar) at 9:00:01 am.
