Fair sized group for a Thursday, with plenty of thirst inducing warmth.  The marquis at O. Henry said 96 (which seemed a little high) but it was very humid and every bit of 90.  That might be the last workout we see in 90s for this cycle.  As Coach Al pointed out last night, the days are growing shorter and we’re fast approaching the time change.  Start rounding up your reflective clothing and blinking lights.  Way to coach, Al!

The Workout – tempo runs of 2 miles or 5 miles

News – there will be a long run departing the zero at 7:00:00 am on Saturday. On the trail this week for 4, 7, or 10 miles.  There will be pacers.  It will most likely be raining (the current forecast calls for a 100% chance).  Breakfast at Waterloo on 38th whenever you get there.

More News – the 5k time trial has been moved from 10/2 to 10/16.  On 10/16 we will NOT be meeting at O. Henry or the restroom near the rock.  We will be meeting at the intersection of Bullard & Great Northern.  Here is a preview of the course to stoke your competitive fire!  The time from this effort will be used to create or tweak your training plan for the Austin Marathon/Half Marathon.
