That might have been the best running night of the year…maybe ever.  It was relatively cool, dry, no wind, and it was the EASY week.  Way to coach, Al!

The Workout – mile repeats
Fast/Marathon Group = 3
Fun/Half Marathon Group = 2
Newcomers/Beginners = 1

News – there will be a hill workout on Thursday (3 or 6 mile tempo by running this 3 mile loop once or twice reversing direction on the second lap if you opt for the 6 miler).  There will be a long run  departing the zero at 7:00:00 am on Saturday.  Don’t let last week’s slip up (when we departed at 7:00:01 am) lull you into a false sense of security.  Off the trail this week for 7.68 miles or 12.2 miles.  The weather is going to be nearly perfect but we’ll have Gatorade out there every few miles anyway.  Breakfast at Another Broken Egg whenever you get there.

More News – on 10/16 we will NOT be meeting at O. Henry or the restroom near the rock.  We will be meeting at the intersection of Bullard & Great Northern for a 5k time trial.  Here is a preview of the course to stoke your competitive fire!  The time from this effort will be used to create or tweak your training plan for the Austin Marathon/Half Marathon.
