The O. Henry contingency plan was activated today due to a football game on the field inside the track.  A rather large (but not very thirsty) group convened on Bridle Path to complete the workout.  During the announcements it became obvious that training works.  There were many significant PRs reported at many distances over the weekend from 5k to marathon.  Way to coach, Al!

The Workout – 400 meter repeats
Fast/Marathon Group = 10
Fun/Half Marathon Group = 8
Newcomers/Beginners = 6

News – there will be a hill workout on Thursday (tempo runs of 7 miles or 4 miles).  There will be a long run on Saturday departing the zero at 7:00:00 am.  On the trail this week for 4, 7, or 10 miles.  Breakfast TBA.

More News – on 10/16 we will NOT be meeting at O. Henry or the restroom near the rock.  We will be meeting at the intersection of Bullard & Great Northern for a 5k time trial.  Here is a preview of the course to stoke your competitive fire!  The time from this effort will be used to create or tweak your training plan for the Austin Marathon/Half Marathon.

Run every chance you get!
