With the start of our annual Austin Marathon/Half Marathon Training we will now be doing hilly tempo runs on Thursdays (as opposed to the hill repeats we’ve been doing since February). Everything else is the same (meeting times/locations). One additional housekeeping note is our contingency plan when the track/football field is being utilized for an official O. Henry Middle School activity. If you arrive at the track and parking is worse than usual, there are youngsters moving about in game uniforms, there are officials dressed in black/white stripes, there are yard markers, and the like…please proceed north on Exposition to Bridle Path and take a left. There is a triangular patch of curb that we meet at for the workout on those days.
The Workout – 3 mile tempo
News – there will be a long run departing the zero at 7:00:00 am on Saturday. On the trail this week for 4, 7, or 10 miles. SGMTG will be heading out at 5:40 am for 8 extra prior to joining the group at 7:00:00 am. Breakfast at Dario’s (1800 E 6th) at 9:00:00 am.
