Thank you to everyone who has already shown their willingness to help out at the Decker water stop! The stop’s captain is Fast Jack Wilkinson. Please click on his name and let him know that you’ll be there the morning of December 8th. There are other volunteer opportunities available in the days leading up to the race and on race morning (prior to manning the water stop) but the ship’s first priority is making sure there are enough folks at water stop one to get the runners hydrated at this early spot where they’re still packed together pretty tightly. Remember, volunteering for things coach Al wants you to volunteer for is the best way to differentiate yourself from your peers for Shipmate of the Year! Stand out!!
The Workout – 4 mile tempo
News – there will be a long run departing the zero at 7:00:00 am Saturday morning. Off the trail again this week for 11 miles or 20 miles. There will be water at the rock, Gatorade at Expo/Mt. Laurel, Gatorade at Whiterock/Bullard, Gatorade at Arroyo Seco/Romeria, and Gatorade at 38th/Duval. The parking lot at Auditorium Shores (aka the zero) is CLOSED until July. Try parking here (or anywhere else you can find). The weather is going to be awesome for running 20 miles or hunting ducks but not much else…windy, wet, and cold. Be ready for it! Breakfast at Little Mexico (2304 S 1st) whenever you get there.
