Somewhat busy week for the Ship so let’s get into it!
Tuesday is the 2nd Tuesday of the month so it’s happy hour time. CHANGE OF VENUE!! Happy hour will be at Abel’s on the Lake immediately following the track workout. Please let Heather know if you’ll be there!
Thursday we will have a self-defense clinic immediately following the hill workout. Ryan Campbell, a runner from our Bryan/College Station group who also happens to be a former instructor of Self-Defense/Defensive Tactics for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, will be instructing us on some hands-on ways to defend yourself from someone who means to do you harm. You should have seen an email with more info. Please let Jerie know if you plan to attend.
Tuesday – timed mile, Indian file mile, mile @ 5k pace
Thursday – 4 mile tempo
Saturday – there will be a long run departing the zero at 7:00:00 am Saturday morning. Off the trail this week for 4 miles (turn back at the rock), 10.16 miles, or 12.1 miles. Breakfast at Maria’s Taco Xpress when you arrive. FREE cake for October birthdays will be involved.
