Save the date! The Austin Marathon/Half Marathon training is scheduled to kick off at the Tuesday workout on August 24th, 2021!! Two weeks!!!
Tuesday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside at 6:00 pm and warm up with drills and whatnot…we’ll have water/Gatorade. Then run Kenyan Style Fartleks (12 x 1 minute fast/1 minute easy). (Strava label = SPEED)
Thursday – meet near O. Henry at 10th/Wayside at 6:00 pm and warm up with drills and whatnot … we’ll have water/Gatorade. Then do a (fun group) 3 miles or a (fast group) 5.5 miles. (Strava label = TEMPO)
Saturday – there will be a long run departing from the zero at 7:00:00 am. OFF THE TRAIL this week for 5.01 miles, 7.08 miles, or 11.08 miles (7.08 mile route plus the 4 mile loop counter clockwise on the trail). Breakfast at Little Mexico (2304 S 1st) at 9:01 am. (Strava label = LONG)
